LUDLOW, MA -- The Pittsburgh Riverhounds settled for a 1-1 draw at Western Mass in front of 1243 fans on Thursday night, picking up their second point of the season.

Joe Zewe, who played at East Allegheny High School and Penn State University scored just after the second half began. Penn Hills native and Wake Forest grad Ryan Caugherty assisted.

It appeared that the Hounds had scored a second goal when Chartiers Valley and Duquesne University rookie Travis MacKenzie sent in a rebound of a Jean Robens Jerome shot, but the officials ruled MacKenzie offside and called off the goal.

Jeff Deren scored the lone Western Mass goal with about 15 minutes left in the match to tie it at 1-1 for the Pioneers. That was the final result.

Pittsburgh is still winless on the 2008 campaign with a record of 0-3-2 (2 points) in the United Soccer Leagues Second Division. The Pioneers earn a point to go to 2-1-1 (7 points).

The match was the first of a five-game road trip for Pittsburgh. The Riverhounds travel to Bermuda to play the Hogges on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
