Riverhounds announce preseason schedule
PITTSBURGH, PA -- The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will open their month-long training camp on Monday, March 15 as the 'Hounds gear up for the 2004 season in the USL’s Pro Soccer League. The Riverhounds will practice at Moon High School Stadium for the first week of camp. Starting on March 22, practices shift to the Hopewell Soccer Association fields.
The Riverhounds will give fans three chances to see the team in pre-season action locally. The 'Hounds open their home exhibition schedule Wednesday, March 31 at Baldwin High School when they face the Duquesne University Dukes at 7:00 p.m.
The second home exhibition game takes place on Saturday, April 3, when the 'Hounds take on Wheeling-Jesuit University at Pine-Richland High School at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $3.00 and benefits the Pine-Richland Boys Soccer Association.
The third and final home exhibition game of the pre-season occurs on Thursday, April 8, when the 'Hounds face the Robert Morris Colonials at Moon Area High School Stadium. Kick off is at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.
The 'Hounds will travel to West Virginia University to take on WVU on Wednesday, March 24 game time is 7:00 p.m. The 'Hounds will also play the University of Pittsburgh on March 27. The location and time are still to be determined.
Training camp will break on April 15, when the 'Hounds leave for Charlotte to battle the Eagles in the season opener on April 16.
